COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our ode to Oscar Neebe, yeast saleman, friend of the brewer and one of the three to survive the trial of the "Haymarket Eight". A straw colored Belgian ale dry-hopped with Amarillo hops. A great session ale!

Cloudy pale yellow with good, creamy, white head / Light, crisp, nose of lemon and funk / Light body, acidic and crisp, a hint watery but with fine balance and excellent dry, bitter, finish / Elegant flavors of weed, lemon, coriander, grass, and brett / A lovely, light, complex, summer beer.

On tap @ the brewpub. Very hazy light yellow. Incredible aroma! Sammy says "It smells like a summer day on an island!" Guava, white grapefruit, summer flowers, wheat malts. Light, crisp, and dry, but bursting with flavour. This, to me, is a perfect summer session ale. Outstanding!

Had this at the brewpub in Chicago, Illinois. A nice, sessionable beer, well balanced with some toastiness later on, and a mellow finish. Salut!

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy pale yellow with a white head that dissipates nearly completely. Aroma is full of tropical fruit and citrus with some backing flora and sweet grain. Flavor begins with grapefruit that mellows into citrus and is backed by light grain.

4oz sampler from the brewpub, ultra fresh. Pours a cloudy yellow with a moderate white head. Aroma of orange, caramel, lemon, and Belgian yeast. Flavor of orange, yeast, herbs, grass, pepper, and light brett with a dry finish. Easy drinker.

On tap at Haymarket. Two-toned orange amber with a small white head. Really nice fruity apricot/nectarine aroma. Hops are really subdued in the flavor, lending a mild herbal, almost basil-like quality atop some light-to-moderately toasty grains, pretzel, and mild orange peel. Zesty, fresh finish. Super solid, I would be happy to toss these back all night.

Tap at Haymarket. Hazy unfiltered orange-tan. Thin, steady oily white head. A really pleasant, well executed beer. Big hop and yeast tones, but a subdued malt backbone creates a smooth nice balance. Melon hop tones, maybe some amarillo. Nails it, well done.

UPDATED: AUG 5, 2012 draft at brewery. pours very hazy straw yellow with white head. nose is very yeasty and wheaty, some lemon, flavors are tart wheat, a bit puckering. Yeasty grainy, and very wheat forward., lemony and very mild pine notes, odd beer, not really drinkable. 2.5 2/12/12, rerate cuz Derek said it was so good. Itís true Pete has cleaned up or learned from his earlier batches as the yeast fermentation and hopping are working much better here. I still donít think itís amazing, ti Jean was way better but this serves a nice purpose being low alc and well hopped. Body is really thin. 8/5/12 another 12oz pour at the bar and Iím a pretty big fan. Thereís lots of flavor for 4.5% and $3.75. It really canít be beat. Clean citrusy, bitter, crisp. I could and want to drink this for days. 3.7

On tap at the brewpub. This one was quite interesting. Poured a clear gold and had a very dry feel to it. Hoppy, but not overwhelming. Dryness was the prevailing feeling for this one - but not in a bad way. I couldnít see myself having more than 1 or 2, but it was certainly worth a try.

Draught at brewpub. Light in body and taste. Nice aroma. Hoppy with yeasty finish. Some banana.
