3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
poured from tap at haymarket. Pours a clear gold color with a nice and foamy head.
Straightforward aromas of hops, citrus and some wheat tones as well. Not too much depth on this, but fairly decent.
Lighter bodied with a smooth feel. It is lacking on the mid and there isn’t much of a finish to speak of. There are some nice flavors of hops and what tones, but it just seems somewhat lacking.
A very drinkable beer, but not all too memorable. It is worthwhile to compare against other replicales though.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
4oz pour at haymarket. A hazy golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet and quite spicy - among others I pick up coriander. The flavor is sweet with notes of coriander, leading to a dry spicy and slightly wheaty finish.

Draft, pours hazy pale golden with small white head. Aroma of hay, lemons, and tea. Flavors have fruity esters, lemons, florals and tea, pretty sweet bread finish. Prickly feel. Just okay.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft on tap at the Oak Park Microbrew Review (Chicago, IL). Pours a frothy whitish head that laces well, mellow ring sticks around. Aromas are a bit fruity and doughy, gentle spice, some dry florals and earthy hops. Initial is lighter but a bit thicker, richer fruit and pear, apple, dry bread and doughy malts. Sweeter fruits into the middle, dough, a touch girthy with a mellow dryness, firm spiciness lingering into middle and backend. Apples, pear, bready malts. Some straw, more spice. A bit girthy for me at times. Dry spicy finish. A bit tart in the middle, some banana and pear, apple. Not bad. A bit spicy, some citrusy elements. Ok. A bit of a fuller body, richer flavors than the other versions I enjoyed.

On tap at Haymarket. Hazy orange with a small white head that is mostly diminishing. Moderate orange zest nose with musty yeast, coriander and light black pepper. Lightly grainy, mildly sweet flavor with chewy wheat and lightly bright citrus fruits at the end. Heavy carbonation up front that quickly fades. A touch thin on the palate, but overall pretty nice seasonable Belgian.
