Pale straw colored beer, not a lot of tastes going on in this one. Simple, flat, a little boring. There are far better beers to try at Haymarket.

On tap @ Haymarket. Pours a clear golden color with a white head. Strong dough and bread malt aromas. A nice apple ester aroma, some biscuit, and plenty of grassy hops. A touch too bitter in terms of the flavor. Tons of grass and chalk. Good biscuit and bread sweetness, though. Some dough, apple, and a hint of yeast.

Location: Draft at the Brewpub, 5/28/14

Aroma: The aroma is light and clean, with some hop notes as well as some pilsener malts
Appearance: It pours a clear yellow-gold color with a thin white head on it
Flavor: The taste is much the same, clean and light, with a bit of sweetness and bitterness
Palate: The body is light and clean, with an a solid mouthfeel, and a clean finish
Overall Impression: I thought this was a decent example of the style. It isn’t a top notch pilsener, but it is clean enough to be pretty enjoyable.

Sampled at the brewpub. A white head leaves nice lacing. Very clear lighter golden. A peppery malty nose. A little earth. Clean, dry hops that are big. Pale malts. A bold Pils. European hops that are authentic and spicy and peppery. High bitterness for this style. Not a bad beer at all.

Dogbrick (7682) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JAN 22, 2014
Sample at the brewpub. Clear yellow-gold color with a thin white head that evaporates steadily to an outer ring. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of grassy hops and toasted malt. Light-bodied with flavors of spicy hops, grainy malt and a bit of wheat. The finish is crisp and mildly bitter with an herbal hops aftertaste. Decent overall.
