COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This easy drinking, hoppy and complex pale ale is brewed and dry-hopped with U.S. grown Amarillo hops and fermented with authentic Belgian ale yeast. Little John would have been happy to take a growler ’On The Road.’ Happy birthday Jack Kerouac! (3/12)

This is a dry hopped Belgian American pale... On-tap at the pub, served in a taster... A light honey gold, a decent off-white head.. The aroma is very lemony with a bit of yeast and hops. This reminds me of the Dynamite & Roses, same yeast, just more muted... The taste has the yeast with lots of fruit notes of oranges and peach, then a smooth hoppy finish. Easy to drink, worth trying.

Ti Jean. Draft at haymarket... Pours a hazy apricot orange with a thin wispy film of soapy white head... Aroma is crisp assertive citrus fruity hops alongside a decent degree og Belgian yeast... Flavors are basically much of the same with a pithy medium bitter finish that, a little banana extends well into the finish. A little banana and other fruity esthers as well...Lighter bodied but the hops hold up well especially with that lasting bitterness. easy drinking and quaffable as such. 7/3/7/4/15

several pours of this at the pub. pours a hazed gold with white head. nose has nice citrus, orange peel with earthy belgian yeast and some sulfur. flavors is nicely hopped dry and bitter, earthy yeast and orange peel citrus good stuff. man a wonderful integration of belgian yeast and amarillo hops. awesome session beer! went back for another pour a week later and clearly the hops had fallen off just enough to take away from its brilliance. dag yo.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a light golden yellow with a small creamy white head. Aroma is nicely balanced with a subtle spice note, a soft breadiness and a nice sweet caramel note. Flavor is also well balanced, dry and spicy from the yeast with some soft fruity esters and a bit of the soft banana notes. Lightly bitter finish and a nice soft hop lingering note. Medium body and a soft carbonation. Pretty nice belgian ipa

Draft on tap at the brewpub (Chicago, IL). The newest addition to the Haymarket family. Pours a well hazed banana murky hue, some dull gold, bread and glow, with a big frothy offwhite head atop, stays fairly large and laces well. Aromas are a blend of yeasty bread dough, orange peel, touches of light banana and pear with bitter florals, fruity and gumball like Amarillo, orange, and lemons. Zesty and yeasty, good hop profile keeps that Belgian sweetness I dislike at bay. Initial is light bodied, bread dough and light spicy yeast come in with gentle fruit esters, banana and gumballs, moving into bitter citrusy peel, orange, florals, some grass, lemons. A touch of fuzzy/prickly peach. Gumball, bubblegum, more bread, dried out grass and florals. The beer itself has a decent bitterness tempered by bready malts and some yeasty life. Dryness and fruity hops on the backend, gentle and very well balanced, with a good dryness to combat the bready yeast. Gentle and smooth, the banana and gumball peeks in a bit more further in, but the hops really keep it at bay for me.. It’s not hoppy, just meshes well. I really think this works on several levels for me. Tasty, the orange and prickly peach and dried out finish with bready malts, touches of estery fruit (though gentle, not dominant and cloying) work well. Nice work here, Pete. You seem to be hitting a stride. For 4.7, this packs a bunch of taste.. And goes down easy.

Draft at Haymarket. It looks like Pete is hitting his stride with the new place. Awesome! Pours a hazy gold with orange at the edges. Fluffy and sticky white head. Nose is slight banana and hint of clove, then big citrusy Amarillo notes. Some peach comes out. On taste, The bitterness is held nicely in check, not overpowering all of the wonderful aromatics. Medium-bodied with a good carbonation level. Lacks the sulfur that has been seen in some of the other Belgians Pete’s done which makes this one stand out. Excellent beer and one of my favorites from Haymarket!
