Canned(330ml). -golden coloured, minimum head, too much carbonated, malty aroma with hints of rice, just another ordinary lager

Let’s get something straight here, there is nothing extra strong about any quality of this beer, mkay. Appearance is lightly golden, with a ton of carbonation and fastly fading soda head. Strong taste of adjuncts are present, chalky and very dry. Thin foamy and watery.

Week. Boring. Sour rice malt taste. Better than Kingfisher and Taj-Mahal, but that isn't saying much.

Promising malty aroma, large bottle. Medium carbonation. Flavor light and dry, also metallic, thin, and undistinguished. Pilsneresque dry bitter finish. A hybrid beer. Not bad with a beautifully prepared Indian meal, and surely no worse than other restaurant ethnics - i.e. Tsing Tao, Dos Equis, Carta Blanca, Kingfisher, et al. Like the others, I wouldn’t actually buy this at a packaged goods store.

Not overly impressed with this beer. For starters, I have no clue why this beer is labeled ’Extra Strong’ because it neither tastes nor contains a strong amount of alcohol. Just a watery taste with some bready overtones. In fact, I thought this beer was just average in every sense of the word. If you’re looking for a good Indian beer, try the Kingfisher Lager for a much more refreshing and fulfilling beer.

Braudog (4607) - Hampton, Virginia, USA - AUG 11, 2002
Presented with a surprising head, but it was airy rather than foamy. Little bit of a malt flavor, but it’s mostly just a thin mediocre beer.

Sweet, slightly spicy yellow fizzy beer. Not much bitterness at all. Not as estery or alcoholic as 5000.

Since this is a 5% beer, I suggest it be renamed ’Haywards 5000’ for simplicity. It’s a decent brew but it’s simple and lacks any complexity. A moderate amount of malt does impart some flavor.

The weakest from this brewer. Minimalistic and all ways.
