Pleasant, but far from excellent. It’s always nice to try a foreign beer though.

UPDATED: DEC 17, 2012 bottle dated 4/2012. clear effervescent gold body. green apple esters and mint and chlorine hops. soapy and waxy smell. medium light body. butter and dryer sheet and mothball flavor.

golden color, aroma of corn sugar, grain, skunky hops, same flavors, crisp and over carbonated, not enjoyable at all

Crisp, yet grainy with a hint of sweetness. A solid session beer and easily one of the better Indian beers I’ve had. A good brew to have with chicken and fish appetizers. Not much complexity or hops of note. A simple beer but effective for what it is.

Aroma is grain sweetness and very slightly perfumed. The flavor is medium grain sweetness, citrus and a mildly tart finish.

Haywards is an Indian lager with some flavor and body. Sweet maltiness that isn’t too bad for an Indian restaurant. Nice amber color with fluffy head that dissipates quickly. Served in an big 1 pint 6 oz bottle.

Bottle shared by John. Pours clear gold with white head. Nose/taste of tortilla chips, corn, pepper, chemicals and metallic cardboard. Lighter bodied.

Light tart and sweet aroma with a light amount of grain. Light clear golden color with a small white head. Very light beginning with a mild bitterness in the finish. Palete build in the finish.

Aroma is crisp, malty and a little fruity - typical, but at least OK. Pours a clear, rather wan yellow - not too good, but at least the white head is thick and somewhat persistent. Flavor is - not outstanding, but for a pale lager, a snip or two above average. Malty and fruity, satisfying. Texture has OK body and OK fizz. Overall, fair to middlin’. If not great, at least potable. Good for a party, or with a meal.
