UPDATED: NOV 8, 2014 Rerate: In an Indian restaurant and decided to try this one again. Lot worse this time than I remember. Appearance is fine, but no aroma. Body is good, but almost no taste. Not very enjoyable. ------- Haywards is an Indian lager with some flavor and body. Sweet maltiness that isnít too bad for an Indian restaurant. Nice amber color with fluffy head that dissipates quickly. Served in an big 1 pint 6 oz bottle.

UPDATED: MAR 10, 2015 Bottle, shared by me... in my dining room... just now.
Pours perfectly golden with a perfectly small head on top of the glass.

The aroma is alcoholic, akin to corn flakes, & has some distinct berry and grape characteristic.

The flavor is heavily boozy & sweet. itís got cider, itís got corn flakes itís got cheap vodka.

Holy moly itís worse than I ever expected.

Bottle served in a paper bag. Yay for ticks and self pride. This isnít quite as bad as I expected it to be, mostly meaning that it has less flavor than I expected. Malty. Corny. Grainy. Plain. I donít see myself drinking this again, but finished it nonetheless. Interesting.

Bottle. Pours a clear yellow color with a small white head after it settles. A big grainy sweet nose. Not good: sugary adjuncts, rain, light metal. Some dirty water. Drinkable.

(Bottle) Clear golden amber with slight white head. Slight caramel sweet aroma. Medium bodied, almost sticky. Light to medium carbonation. Sugary sweet with some initial hint of tang and some slight but harsh bitterness towards the finish. Drinkable, but not good.
