2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Radek Kliber (5308) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), - OCT 10, 2011
Bottle 330 ml
Aroma: vintage foreign aromas , green glass cask sipped on British royal vessel of keg called Haywards. Creamy light-struck notes that might persuade Mr. Rusty that is vintage oak cask. After all it might be vanilla ... or not. Green grassy feel of Citra or green Indian tea? Beer sobs would hate it yet labeled as DDC or Cigar City 500K would love its ...finesse. I just don’t mind. 4+
Appearance: look at amber gold staring right at you. Clear with minimal head. Most of us don’t give second chance. Me either... 2-
Body , Flavour , Palate and Final Notes: Oily wall on carbonated soft grainy ( a le mais ). Very tropical in approach. Light on alcohol , slight cask notes of "zielone szklo" . Local swear that real Kingfisher is used in brewing . I can confirm or deny it. There is something in it for sure....Fell of lost liver , thousand dollars , years of beer hunting and broken pinky toe. Yet hottest fire makes the hardest liver ... that’s my story . I believe in you or not. Happy 10 10 5000.
1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20 Psytron (577) - Turku, FINLAND - JUN 2, 2012
Drunk in Bengaluru. Malty, sweet smell. Pale golden colour, high white head. Very mild aroma, alcohol strongly present. Sweet aftertaste due to that. Very flat carbon, almost nonexistant. Some malts and metal also to be found.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 reebtogi (2197) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 17, 2012
500ml bottle pours a pale golden orange color with a nonexistent head and no lacing. Aroma is sweet malts and mild hops. Taste is malty sweet with a very mild hop presence. Only slightly better than a typical North American malt liquor eg. Big Bear.
1.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20 drpimento (1760) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 14, 2012
Oh dear, I’m in a fix; only one more chilled beer and there’s this: Poured cold from the fridge with a small to medium foamy, frothy, off-white head, that quickly settled to an island and ring, with no lace. Color is a clear, pale yellow with lots of large and small bubble trails. Aroma is the best thing about this beer - sweet with a little beery, malt, hop. Flavor isn’t so good; mainly neutral sweet, carbonic tang, hint of bitter. Body is there, but not pleasant and carbonation is too strong and clashes- heck, everything clashes in this brew. Finish is like flavor and of medium length, which is way too long. Bleh.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 jwr07 (69) - Decatur, Georgia, USA - APR 3, 2012
Pours a somewhat pale yellow, no head even with a stiff pour. Smells decent enough for an Indian beer- bright and crisp and adjuncty. The aroma is non-committal flavor-wise, which is just as well because the beer underperforms in that department. There is a distinct flavor here reminiscent of licking a painted wall, and not in a way that goes well with Indian food. The detectable presence of hops on the finish is partially redemptive, but I was definitely expecting something less bad from H5k.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Blairgus (1209) - California, USA - MAR 27, 2012
26 mar 2012, bottle. Light yellow, clear, steady bubbles. Soft aroma: green apples and hay. Thin body and fizzy. Tastes like a sweet lager with some alcohol background. Not great but surprisingly light for an 8% beer. This certainly has its place in Indian cuisine.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 VTHopHead (1387) - Barre, Vermont, USA - FEB 12, 2012
Bottle/650ml - Pours a clear golden yellow in color... like any "good" pale lager would. Almost no head and what there was faded to nothing... very low to non-existent carbonation. Aroma is slightly sweet and, unfortunately, but not surprisingly, of a small amount of grassy hops and lots of fermented corn/adjuncts. Flavor is more sweet than I expected with the slight flavor of honey or, more likely, HF corn syrup. Some sourness in the finish. Little in the way of hop flavor or bitterness. From India or not... just another poor quality mega-brew in my opinion... File under "Glad to have tried it *once*"
