Draught. Black clear colour with a nice but short head. Aroma of roasty/smoky malts, coffee and bit of bitter chocolate. Bit thin mouthfeel. Flavour is smooth and toasty, bit sweet, coffee, some liquorice. Smoky roasty finish. 23/01-07: Full name is ""Cerveza Artesanal Negra Tipo Pipeņo".

Dark mahogany color. No head--due to the pouring--very thin lacing, good film. Smooth coffee aroma, with hints of brown sugar, toasted malts, berries and cherries. Sweet flavor, very smooth and slightly bitter with soft coffee taste and some citrusy. Light to medium body. Abrupt finish, oily texture. The alcohol is not at all noticeable. I saw in a jar on the next table that its head was rocky and off-white

I drank this with Panzerfaust
Draft: Shows a dark brown color with redish tones. Served without head, it shows a cute off-white lacing. Aroma is barely noticeable but after some effort I can feel notes of roasted malt, cherries and a little of dry apricots. Maybe if I let my imagination fly there is some caramel or brown sugar. Flavor is light and semi-sweet with a little of toasted grains, smoke and overripe cherries. Not bad but timid as hell. If the taste were stronger maybe I could say this beer reminds me a Bock. Hops are noticeable though. Good body as the "HBH Rubia" with a nice oily texture. Fine mouthfeel, clean and lively carbonated. It could be much better but it’s brewed for high drinkability & Chilean palates.

The other of the two beers available in this brewpub. Like its blonde accomplce there is a definite twang of homebrew about this beer, it isn’t too prominent but there is evidence of it being a locally microbrewed beer. I don’t know about the stout reference here, as it is ore of an attempt at being a bock. I will defer the decicion until the next time I have a taste of this beer. In view of the dearth of good beers in this country it is better than most and worthy of some support at least.
