Commercial Description:
Tangy American Wheat Ale with zing, this brew is made with clusters of fresh red raspberries. Not too sweet, not too tart, and completely captivating. Nearly 150 pounds of raspberries are added to every 500 gallons of beer while it lagers in the cellar.

Had this beer on 2/8/1998. Color is a burnt orange, average carbonation and very little head. Aroma has the scent of fresh raspberries. Taste is light and refreshing with good tones of raspberries coming though. It starts off with a light crisp body, going down smooth and clean. Finish is a nice raspberry with a light bitterness that balances things off well. This is a great summer beer it goes down smooth and would really quench your thirst on a hot day.

12oz bottle-One of the first flavored wheat I ever tried. It was a nice balance between the flavors and was not overpowering in the fruit aspect.

Nice balanced raspberry beer. Not terribly fruity, good flavor though. Nice aroma of berries and malt. Nice beer.

Hmm, as far as Raspberry Wheat beers go, this one is about my favorite so far. Nicely balanced with the sweetness and bitterness. Definitely fruit beer, but not overwhelmingly so. It’s not Leinie’s Berry Weiss, in other words.
