Cask Handpump at the Smithfield, Derby 11/07/2008 Hoppy and floral aromas. Clear golden coloured very hoppy with a crisp slightly dry and bitter lasting finish.

Cask (handpull) Derby summer beer festival 2008. Brewed to commemorate the late John Evans, pioneer of microbrewing in Derby. Everyone at the Darwin bar was orderiing this, all five staff were waiting in line to pour it (why they didn’t leave that to one bod and serve other customers in the meantime is a different matter). A solid gold body, balanced aroma, well balanced if slightly muted fruits and malts.

Cask at the Smithfield, Derby. Commemorates the late and legendary founder. Thanks to DJMonarch for this one. Gold with a small white head. Some malt in the aroma. Sour citric taste. Mid bitter finish.
