Alc. 4.2%. Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel - nutty, tobacco, moderate hoppy, sharp hops. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, sharp hops - resin. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20100117]

Cask. Pours a clear amber with an off-white head leaving laces. Lightly fruity nose. Light body, a little fruit and caramel. Dry, lightly hoppy finish with a vague fusty touch. 170110

Cask handpump, The Flowerpot, Derby, 4.2%. Headless red amber. Sulphur and vague nuttiness aroma. Strawberry Campinos, hint of cherry, good dose of bitterness and dry roasted. Sound, but up against some tough competition, and a bit tired.

Hoppy aroma. Amber golden coloured fruity and hoppy with a little dryness and bitterness in a crisp lasting malt finish.

Cask (handpull) Flowerpot Derby. Body on the reddish side of brown, sweet fruits and a slightly spicy feel. Fairly dry finish. Almost the very definition of an average beer for me.

Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - Northamptonshire BF. A copper coloured beer with a fruity aroma. The taste is fruity and malty with a hint of wood and a touch of coffee. A bit heavy and chewy in places.
