Heads Up Anisenystigmus Imperial IPA

Flat-looking hazy dull amber...certainly not an attractive beer. Big fennel/anise aroma. They used a bunch of different parts of the anise plant in this one. Flavourwise, it’s a whallop of anisey, fennelly notes. Light alcohol shows through a bit, as do some faint caramel malt notes. This aged bottle actually comes off a bit oxidized, and certainly unbalanced...I’m getting almost nothing but anise, not even hops.
