Mar 26, 2008 Marzipan, sherry and plenty of alcohol in the nose. No head atop the clear, deep amber-copper coloured body. Alcohol is very apparent in the sweet, sweet flavour but other than that there isn’t much to this one. Sherry like flavours linger in the aftertaste. Medium body with fairly low carbonation. Estimated at about two years old, this one was definitely showing its age. Sampled at Oakes’ cellar raid 2007.

May 23, 2007 Dull, flat brown...looks terrible. Smells like demerera. Very sweet flavour - mainly brown sugar - and quite alcoholic. Fairly simple, though...there’s just these two things and they don’t come together much.

does not count  Dec 9, 2005 Best of Show 2005 Washington Cask Beer Festival. Great carmel and fruit notes a huge body and amazing finish. Described by Northwest Brewing News as an incredible beer.
