Heads Up Oatmeal Stout

On Tap at the brewpub pours out dark brown almost black topped with a tan head. A very sweet aroma and tast. Chocolate and roast malt

Dark brown. Chocolatey, fatty-oaty nose. Oaty, chocolatey, somewhat fatty taste. A bit thin at the back, but decent for a strong oatmeal. Lacks the esters I found last time.

Tap at GCBF. Pitch black beer, thin tan head. Aroma is quite malty, molasses, treacle, and a bit of licorice. Flavour is semi-sweet, licorice, molasses, and a touch of oats smoothing the body out. Oily texture and great flavour. Lingering bitter and roasty finish. Seems like a foreign stout, with a light herbal chicory and chocolatey flavour mixed throughout.
