patricks110 (274), Alberta, Canada Nov 5, 2009 Somewhat dissapointed by this beer. Pour is nice golden amberish body with a sizable head. Aroma is skunky ans cornish. Nothing good there. Taste is poor. Overall, will not drink again. Diogène (542), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Jul 5, 2009 Clear golden with a medium fizzy head. Below average retention and lacing. Aroma is grainy with funky herbal hops, honey and metal. Flavor is grainy at first with some sweetness coming afterward. Also some herbal hops and a touch of honey and some cardboard. Medium body. Vertical Bacon Strips (874), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Jun 26, 2009 UH...IT’S CRAP? Yup.
Dumped into my glass. Ended up with a nice clear light amber brew with a good sized light light tan cap, decent retention and good silty lacing. Man, the smell of this is pretty brutal especially on the initial pour. Warm, unclean, stinky and unappealing with mild malt! The taste was an odd mild fruit with a decent grainy malt backbone early on but that fades quickly, seems alcoholic with some weak watery mouthfeel and weak bitterness. This beer is ass at best. Spab (234), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 16, 2009 473 ml can from LCBO. Pours a clear gold with a small, very quickly disappearing white head. Very (too) sweet malty nose. Taste is not quite as sweet with some breadiness coming through. Pleasant slightly bitter finish, though somewhat syrupy texture. The aroma had me worried but I didn’t mind this. JRHBrew (216), Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada Mar 21, 2009 What a surprise. It has some character. There is a subtle nuttiness that I really dig. fredthecat (174), Canada Feb 21, 2009 the aroma is a soft bready, slight yeast smell. it is golden with a foamy head and the taste is bread and butter with a bit of grass, and has a nice palate with a tiny, pleasant bite. this was a good deal, i used to get it frequently and probably will again terrybail (329), London, Ontario, Canada Feb 14, 2009 473ml can from the LCBO
Pours a dark amber with a small white head lacing at all
The aroma is sweet soapy malt
The taste is actually quite refreshing sweet but a bit too metallic
Cletus (4999), Connecticut, USA Jan 17, 2009 Pours gold with a white head. Smells and tastes of caramel malt with alight hoppy finish.
