micker (31), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Jul 9, 2008 This is sadly no longer brewed by Wellington. The 473 ml cans now sold at the LCBO are brewered in in states by Big Hole brewing. In an odd case, the wellington copy of headstrong was better, actually it was a lot better. This is still a good beer, but it is not nearly as good as it used to be when it was brewered by wellington. It is a shame. But oh well LinusStick (1831), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 4, 2008 Via trade with matt7125. Thanks! A nice helles with more flavor than most. Aroma was so so. Light malt and a hint of spiciness. Pour was a nice medium gold with a one finger white head. Taste was very hoppy for this style. A hint of citrus with bread and corn throughout. Dry bitter aftertaste. Very unique. mannika (98), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jul 3, 2008 473 mL can. Pours a golden with moderate head. Aroma is nice and well balanced. Flavour is initially very spicy but yields to a sweet, dry, pleasant finish. Quite nice. markas101 (541), Fargo, North Dakota, USA Jun 17, 2008 473 ml can, Shelburne, ON. Deep golden/amber colour, thin head. spicy malt aroma that is subdued by a sweet/corny smell. Quite carbonated with a sharp hop bite, but then a bit light. Not a bad offering but nothing like the Munich lagers of, dare I say, Munich. robinvboyer (1419), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada Jun 16, 2008 473ml can. Nice golden colour. Good sized thick head. Nice bready aroma, with some decent hops, and a nice bready maltiness. The flavour though is a different story, it tastes of cheap grain, with a sickly sweet malty corny bite, with a bit of a metallic aftertaste. mabel (2530), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 11, 2008 [1202-20080308] 473mL can. Slightly plasticy wood grain alcohol aroma with a vegetable background. Clear, amber orange body with a big long-lasting foamy white head. Bland grainy alcohol flavour with woody yeast notes. Medium body. Fair. DuffMan (2719), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada May 11, 2008 Aside from the bronzy colour and light herbal/grassy hop hinish, this comes across as a grainy lager of standard fair, maybe a touch of caramel that becomes evident after it warms a little. Nothing offensive, but nothing too exciting either. austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA May 6, 2008 Geez, this is more hoppy than I expected. I don’t much care for its grassy/herbal flavor profile, though I suppose I should be thankful they at least put in a lot of ingredients rather than just releasing a watery brew.
