gilvanblight (390), Windsor, Ontario, Canada Aug 8, 2007 Orangy copper pour. Thin bubbly head. Fairly weak scent of hops. Very stron taste, lots of bitter hops. A thick tastes. Slight aftertaste but it fades quickly. A little overpowering at first. Lots more flavour then expected from a Candian Micro. Not bad. rederic (1787), montréal, Quebec, Canada Jul 25, 2007 Slight hazy, honey-orange hgue, with a small white head, but leaving laces, toasted malt nose, with a biscuity note, hint of toffee, a faint flowery hop accent in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a crisp fruity, toasted malt character, with a grainy accent, a mild floral hop note , leading towards a malty, grainy, lingering hop bettering finish. mephisto (1144), Taiwan Jul 11, 2007 pale golden with no head, it has munich aroma and flavor. medium bodied, it’s fruity. JesseM (661), Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada Jun 21, 2007 Updated: Aug 23, 2008650ml bottle. Pours an orange/copper colour with very little head. Aroma is mostly of malts, and sweet elements, almost like a tangerine. Taste is like the aroma, but well-balanced with some good hopping. I honestly have a bit of a sore throat right now, but this beer is smooth enough that it doesn’t hurt to drink. I like this one more than the headstrong pale ale. EDIT: The new 450mL canned version is a far cry from the bottled version. Weird fuel like flavours and overly alcoholic for something only 5.5%. Malt body is garbage now. Weak. Magtek32 (76), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 20, 2007 650ml bottle. Copper colour with a decently sized off white head. Aroma of grains, sweet malt, rounded off with some floral hops. Hops definately in the taste, as well as some malt and citrus( grapefruit?). Good mouthfeel and carbonation. This was a tasty and refreshing lager that I will have to buy again sometime soon. TheJester (694), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Jun 13, 2007 650 mL bottle. Translucent orange-brown with almost no head at all. Mild, slightly sweet aroma. Taste is mild as well, and a little hoppier than usual, for the style. I think. Not bad, but nothing noteworthy. wilderthanyou (411), Guelph, Ontario, Canada May 11, 2007 Pours a foggy deep golden colour, with a very very very faint aroma of hops. Straightforward flavours of hops and malts, not super interesting, but a good tasting, refreshing beer non the less. I find headstrong beers to always have very fresh, sharp tasting hops and I come back to these beers time and time again when Im looking for something to have with a meal. I Prefer the Pale Ale over the munich lager however. But the lager is still a pretty decent brew. Quevillon (1519), Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec, Canada May 7, 2007 Bouteille de 650 ml. Blonde dorée, petit collet. Arome de miel malté, un peu houblonné. Goût de malte faiblement sucré, arrière goût amère et peu savoureuse. C’est bien mais c’est tout!
