Eructoblaster (1477), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Jul 12, 2006 Bottle - 650ml. Nice golden body with average carbonation and a thin white creamy head. Decent malty/hoppy nose with bready and flowery hints. Its one-dimension taste is dominated by maltiness, and ends with a short bitter finish. Fair Dortmunder. Radek Kliber (3935), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada Jul 10, 2006 Dark gold with decent white head. Toasted malts and green bitter hop aroma. Medium bodied lager with more of malty base with green bitter, earthy aftertaste. Maybe there were some medicinal notes as well. Drinkable brew. yarry (370), Waterdown, Ontario, Canada Jul 9, 2006 650ml Bottle, 5.5% a/v
Pours a cloudy light brown colour with a thin white head. Nose is faint (i had a stuffed nose, maybe its not?) but smells of malty tones. The taste is slightly grainy but also with hints of metallic flavours.. Strange for sure, not altogether bad but not great. CapFlu (3480), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Jul 7, 2006 (650ml bottle) Pours a medium, almond-coloured head with a deep amber body. I wrote that the nose is "grassy" and "assy" - all in all an unpleasant. It does have the subtle malted lager flavour but there is a straw or grass flavour with undertones of tin that makes it uncomfortable to swallow. shintriad (698), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jul 3, 2006 Bottled. A little bit funky on the nose, but a very strong candi-like malt presence, spice and orange notes and a crisp, low-carbonated body make this a pleasant brew. Just needs some more hops to distinguish it, from where I stand. wnp22 (682), Toronto (Roncesvalles Village), Ontario, Canada Jul 2, 2006 Tasted in large stein, obtained from LCBO - 650ml bottle. Appearance is deep golden / amber with thin white sustained head. Aroma is malty sweet, with a grassy / grainy scent. Upon tasting the beer seems somewhat flat, has a sweet taste, maltiness personified, but kind of like a cheap corn sweetness also, found in big macro lagers. JohnBarleycorn (390), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 30, 2006 Pleasant amber appearance and good lager aromas of hops and grass, plus a
sweet caramel edge. Carbonation offers maximum refreshment. Begins watery, then leads to shy flavours of malt, orange and pinch of chocolate in the medium-length finish. It would have been nice if this was more forward-flavoured, as the profile is nice, there just isn’t enough of it. Sammy (3934), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 21, 2006 Significant bitterness and generous malting makes it quite drinkable. fresh and refreshing.Mid sip grassiness. Leaf bitter drying finish Orangey with white crown. Suitably carbonated.Surprisingly good lager
