Very drinkable, with a smooth finish not corny (as in corn tasting not stupid-funny). It looks like a picture perfect beer---Betty Crocker would be proud to photograph it for the upcoming season session. Has the nose of sweet necture too ripe with unexpected honey under tones. pootzboy (1048), Hawgville, Ontario, Canada

puts an amber-orange lager in the glass with a nice frothy 2 finger cap. Good lacing of the glass...moderately carbonated.
The aroma is very promising...sweet caramel toasty-bready tones over a light whisp of medicinal hops .
Up front the mouth feel is slick... medium body with fair malt spine...... caramunich sweetness becomes balanced by ample Piney-herbal Yakima nugget hopping....aromatic without being too bitter......at any rate the judicious use of hops and non standard lager yeast ( or warmer fermentation?) in this spicy Pacific NW amber variation works and gives it near perfect balance and a wet, spicy-malty finish that turns lightly metallic in the after taste...the 5.5 AVB seems to be just the ticket to make this a very satisfying session lager.
Far from being a standard Munich lager this beer has many characteristics in common with California common steam beer ...and has a flavor profile similar to Anchor steam...perhaps that is the niche/vacuum this hoppy, malty, spicey lager seeks to fill.
Well made...good malts...bold use of hops...well balanced...tastey, and most of all, very drinkable. A lager head’s staple beer. Nekronos (2271), Xalapa, Mexico

The head is impressing and the taste is better than most NAFTA beers I have tried. NOt really looks like a Munich beer but it’s superb. Magtek32 (76), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 20, 2007 650ml bottle. Copper colour with a decently sized off white head. Aroma of grains, sweet malt, rounded off with some floral hops. Hops definately in the taste, as well as some malt and citrus( grapefruit?). Good mouthfeel and carbonation. This was a tasty and refreshing lager that I will have to buy again sometime soon. matt7215 (1002), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada

Smooth with a touch of sweetnes and a clean aftertaste.
Decent beer - very good for a lager. pintbypint (1028), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Malt aroma, slight flowery hop hiding beneath. Malt flavour, late hopping. Long malt hop finish with a touch of bitterness. Light body and carbonation, pretty drinkable. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 8, 2006 Bottle from the LCBO- Pours deep gold. Head is initially large and active, but calms down to a thin white ring. Aroma is a myriad of grass and floral hops with the rignt amount of malt to make this appealing to the senses. Mildly bitter floral notes fill the mouth. It’s very tasty. Hoppy, grassy, sweet mild malts. Very refreshing. It’s a good example of the style, and pretty classy stuff. I was suprised to see it here in London. I thought this was only avaible at Joe’s on tap. I’m glad it magaged to find its way out here. London seems to be the beer hell of Ontario, and Toronto seems to be the mecca. Whoever decided to bring this stuff down here has my thanks because Toronto isn’t the only place that matters, though many act as if it is.
