COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Available in bottle and on keg.
It took a warm spring morning and two thirsty brothers to create ’Pear Rattler". This Cornish Pear Cider is guaranteed to tickle your taste buds with bursting refreshment. It’s best enjoyed chilled or, for the original ’Rattler’ experience, on a sunny beach in Cornwall.

A fizzy golden yellow cider with a greenish hue. A very faint aroma, sweet pear fruit is detectable, but only just! Fizzy yet cloying mouthfeel. Sticky sweet, artificial fruit flavours, pear drops and apples, along with the fizziness, it's as if "Haribo" blended a bag of their finest into an alcoholic concoction! Bottle at the Lodge, Old Hunstanton, Norfolk. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at a ChrisO tasting - London. Pours clear with almost no colour, but if I had to choose I’d say it’s pale yellow. And no head. Woof, this dog has a rather uninviting nose, all sugary, dank and sweaty pear. Flavor is tangy-sugary pear - and not in a nice way. Light bodied with fizzy carbonation. Sugary finish rife with artificial pear - and sweaty man. Poor. A perry only a hard-drinkin’ perry tramp could love.

Keg at The Old Success Inn, Sennen Cove, Cornwall. Pale green yellow with no head. As sweet as anything, there is a sweet synthetic type flavouring to it. Not the sort of Perry that I enjoy.

Bottle 500ml.

Clear light yellow colour with a small small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate pear, sweet pear, licorice - anis seed. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet with a average to long duration, pear syrup, artificial. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20120506]

500ml Bottle. THe worst thing about this perry is the look... absolutely no difference between what goes in one end and what comes out the other. The second worst thiing is that it’s almost like drinking pear juice! Its wonderfuly smooth and juicey it really does go down a treat. Highly recommended.
