Dark amber brown with some ruby highlights, solid tan head and very nice lace. Bittersweet chocolate, roasted malts and oatmeal aromas. Complex flavor profile includes semisweet chocolate, oats, roasted malt and hints of coffee. Full body, no carbonation to speak of, super creamy smooth mouthfeel, and a lingering bitterseet chocolate in the finish.

Nice aroma of chocolate. Deep color and long lasting head. Mouthfeel was light for a stout but taste was wonderful. Like a dark chocolate liqueur with amaretto inside. My favorite of the tasting flight.

Draught at Heartland Brewery (Empire State Building) NYC sept 2012. Dark brown beer with a creamy beige head. Coffee and choclate and vanilla aroma. Similar flavour. Nice one with a nice coffee flavour :-)

[keg, Heartland Brewpub, New York City] Pours blackish brown, with a nice tight beige head. Inviting aroma of chocolate and earthy dryness. Initially quite sweet on the palate, but fades into a dry, roasty bitterness. Enjoyable [24112012]

Clear dark brown color with some red hues and nice, super steady mocha head.
Cocoa nose with mellow roastiness.
Rich vanilla flavors, with roasted nuts and chocolate.
Creamy and smooth, light bodied and pleasant with high drinkability. Nice.

Pint. Hazy, dark brown. Creamy oatmeal cap. Aroma of chocolate and coffee, with a bit of funky tartness. Creamy chocolate and coffee taste, but there's that funk again. Much more prominent in the taste. Not a fan. Gotta get the funk under control.

Tap at pub in esb. Pours nice black with foam top. Aroma of nuts and roast malt. Taste was thin and off slight sour bummer liked and smell is good
