Aucune amertume, aucune effervescence. On pourrait presque la boire à la paille! Finale sèche. Bière drabe, banale et sans intérêt.
tgncc (340), Bellmore, New York, USA Oct 10, 2008 The aroma is mainly caramel malts, with some spicy/earthy notes, I imagine from hops. The appearance is red (duh!), like a ruby red, with a dissipating white foam. the flavor is mainly malty sweet, caramel, toffee, with a slight tempering from hops. The finish is a balance between malt sweetness and hops, with the hops winning the contest. Ok beer, nothing I’d go out of my way for. jcwattsrugger (4087), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Jun 8, 2008 growler-pours a dissipating off white head and copper/red color. Aroma is sweet medium malt-caramel, secondary spice hops. Taste is sweet/sugary medium malt-caramel, some cherry, very faint spice hops to balance but very boring. On the syrupy side. Minimum carbonation. zebracakes (1019), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA May 27, 2008 Part of a Seasonal Sampler at the Chophouse location. Clear amber, off white head. Aroma is malt, hops. Flavor is honey wheat and sour dough. Pretty watery. boto (1241), Granby, Connecticut, USA Nov 28, 2007 Draught in Time Square location: This one poured a dark, ruby red with an off-white head. It leaves some lacing. The nose is light, with sweet, floral and roasty notes. The taste is mildly sweet, with a bit of roastiness and a good bit of nuttiness. OK. drfabulous (803), Columbia, Missouri, USA Oct 13, 2007 A brewpub where there are none in the nation’s biggest city. You expect more. But you get this. It’s ok. That’s all. Ok.
