MesandSim (4623), Highgate, Greater London, England Jun 29, 2008 A Sim rate (tap at Heartland Brewery, Union Square): Aroma of lemon, orange and lots of sherbert. So so sweet with lime and melon. Not so impressive in colour (it IS a "light ale" after all), but carbonation and lace look great. Lace really sticks to the glass. I never thought so much flavour could be packed into such a pale-looking beer. I could drink this all day. It’s melon, peach, raspberry. So refreshing. Very unexpectedly good. Mirage52 (115), New Market, Maryland, USA Feb 12, 2006 On tap at Times Square location. Very light, thin body and watery taste. Almost no head. I got a hint of orange, but it wasn’t as strong as I thought it would be. Compared to the Cornhusker Lager, which was OK, I would choose this. tupalev (2337), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Feb 5, 2008 On tap at the Empire State Building Location. Lots of fresh orange zest in aroma - really nice. Lots more orange plus coriander and light malt in surprisingly flavourful taste. Light to medium bodied, medium yellow with a good sized white head - this is crazy, what a great light beer! I can’t believe how much I enjoyed it. So refreshing. Heartland Indian River Light Ale is a pale orange color with a very thin off-white head. The aroma is subtly sweet with a medium bodied malt base and orange and corriander essences. This is a nice substitute for American light beers.
