On tap at the Empire State Building Location. Dark yellow, thick creamy white head (thank you nitro). Good aroma - strong hops, very resiny, even cuts through the nitro. Taste is good as well - lots of hops again, maybe a bit muted. Like a kicked up version of their IPA really with nitro added - it interestingly did not really detract that much - with this amount of hops the taste came through. Good stuff.

Draught sampler at Empire State Building location. Clear golden colour with a small long-lasting white head. Nice fruity hoppiness in the aroma. Soft mouthfeel. Flavour is bit muted by the nitro, but there’s some caramel and citrus in there. I don’t completely agree with the use of the nitro, but I guess it worked OK.

The aroma was appealing. Hoppy to be sure, but it had a earthy/grassy quality as well. Maybe from the dry hopping. the appearnance was classic IPA, gold with a tinge of red. Nice persistent white foam. Flavor was very strong citrusy hops. So strong, they affected the beer’s drinkability. I couldn’t knock back more than a few of these. Palate had a nice hop burn, and the mouthfeel was thin/medium. Decent IPA, but I tend to favor the ones with a complex bittersweetness to them.

Draught at Heartland Brewery, New York.
Creamy lasting head, hazy light amber body. Mild hoppy and somewhat creamy aroma. Strong bitter hoppy flavor with a fruity tone. Good, but not the most well-balanced. Ultra dry.

Spab (2558) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 1, 2008
Draught at Empire St. Building location. Pours a clear gold with a decent white head and good lacing. Citrus hops in the aroma. Strong citrus hops in the flavour but balanced by a slight maltiness. Medium body, smooth mouthfeel. Probably the best beer I tried at Heartland.

similar to the indiana pale. not as harsh (too bad) but real nice. hoppy citrus bang and goes away slow and lightly malty. the end is a little abrupt as it does change gears. baby, i’ll have another please.

Nitro draft - Empire State Bldg. - Amber, thick white head (nice lacing). Hoppy nose of grapefruit with softer shades of sweet pine. Very hoppy flavors from start to finish without any harsh bitterness. Light bodied and thin, soft carbonation, hoppy finish. Decent for sessions...

Dorqui (2110) - Brescia, ITALY - AUG 25, 2007
UPDATED: SEP 13, 2007 Draught at Heartland Brewery-Empire State (Manhattan - NY).
Optimal hazy orange golden color with light and fine head of long persistence, a lot irish style. Intense and fragran aroma of sweet and smoked wood, a lot toasted with a light tip of cinnamon. Extremely smooth and dry taste, much barren and warmth taste and with overbearing and extended bitter. Determined but not excessive alcohol content.
