3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Drat at Heartland (Empire State Building, NYC). Hoppy aroma and flavor. Interesting take on the Pale Ale by adding the nitrogen to create a smooth and creamy version. Unique, but not great.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Flowery first taste. Gets more meaty the more you drink it, though. Hops don’t bother you, well-mixed in and all that, but there is something else offensive here in the blend. Empire State location.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On nitro tap: Golden amber color with dense lasting white head. Light citrus hop aroma and average hop bite for pale. Malt profile there to keep bitterness down but not noticeable. On tap at Empire State location.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap at Empire State Building. Pours a clear copper with a finger of thick, creamy head. Aroma was fairly subdued, partly dued to very low serving temp and massive nitro head. is mostly of fresh, tropical fruity and citric hops, but a slight metallic skunkiness ruins it a bit for me. Not a lot of malts to be detected, some toasty bread notes is all. Mouthfeel was typical nitro, creamy head and almost flat. Sparse carbonation, what’s there is smooth on the tongue. Light body. Alright, but nothing I’d search out again.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap at the Empire State location. White nitro head over an amber orange beer. Soft aroma of orange rind and sweet pale malt. Aroma is quite subdued but the flavour is pretty solid, sweet pale malt, light caramel over some spicy orange citric hop flavours. Lingering bitterness. Decent brew.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Light amber with a thick white head. Smelled like orange, graitfruit and citrus. Some hints of caramel as well in the taste. I’m not a big fan of dry hopped beers. It was ok though.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
On tap at Empire State Building.
Double dry hops, maybe, but the nitrogen treatment they have given this one killed the dog. Silly idea to nitrokeg an APA!

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
(10/22/08) Draught sample at the brewpub at Empire State Building, New York. Clear deep golden color. Aroma of malt, some hops, lots of diacetyl and fruity hints. Sweetish flavor with malt, caramel, some buttery notes a rather bitter hoppy finish.A creamy nitro mouthfeel I’m really not fond of. Maybe just a bad batch, but they served it.
