Tap at the brewery. Aromas of caramel, cherry, apple, and a hint of chocolate. Taste is sweet, with average length, and a touch of sourness. Palate is velvety, with a medium body. Amber, with a head that disappears.

Best brewpub Oktoberfest yet this year. rerate: 2005 Aroma is very fruity. Parched malt flavours. Good for the style.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 GregClow (2736) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 8, 2006
Draught sampler at Empire State Building location. Clear amber with a small tan head. Good balance in the aroma and flavour of sweet, nutty malts and spicey hops. Body is clean and crisp. Nice take on the style, a good one for the lagerheads.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 beaconstreet (811) - Washington DC, USA - OCT 18, 2004
Mahogany color. Tastes a bit like ribbon candy. I’d like to take a note as to how much I love other people picking up the check for new beers I have. Had this at Union Sq. location. One of the better Oktoberfests I’ve drank since experiencing the style.

Beautiful color, mainly red, with purple and brown. very fall-like. Decent white head. The aroma is weak, and slightly off-putting. It’s mostly spicy, probably from hops, with some malyness. No many hops evince themselves in the flavor. The flavor is strongly caramel malts, with a slight hop bite. The finish is about the same. Decent marzen.

Great Octoberfest color, Good roasted malt flavor with a bit of counteracting bitterness. Aroma is almost undetectable. A better example of the style.

On Tap at 51st
Appearance :Copper red lager with good off white top.4- Nose :Good aroma, typical classic like okto . Malty with hints of woody touches , wet bark like. Slight oak like acidity at end. Earthy hops. Flavour/Palate : Soft bodied lager, fairly solid malt base. Sweet caramel shown in the middle. I only wished that to be bit more crisp. Well brewed but with overly soft texture.
