Can you help me think of a term that would be better accepted by the masses than zymurgical masturbation? My rooster ain’t going for it.

A nice but a bit thin ale. Nice appearance but not hoppy enough. It tastes very roasted which is nice.

If you’ve read any of my other ratings for Heartland, you can see I wasn’t overly excited about any of their beers. This one was no exception. Thin bodied.

Heartland Brewery, Union Square New York. Nice deep red hue. Light Carbonation. This beer had 2 to 3 stages of flavor, rangingf from sharp to bland, starting with caramel, followed by nice subtle hops flavor mixed in with a hint of toffee nut. Aroma was of hops and sweet, but not too thick.

on tap at the union square. Deep rich clear red amber. Aroma was medium hops som malt and a bit of grapefruit. Tsate was in three stages, strong caramel that melded into a toffee and then finished with a hint of grapefruit at the end, with the aftertaste lingering for a minute or two.

All the Heartland beers I have sampled were on draught at the Heartland Brewery Chop House in Times Square, New York. As well as the beer they also do great food! Deep red copper hue with an off white head. Strong hoppy aroma. Nutty flavour with citrus undertone and a medium length finish.
