(On tap) Pronounced darkish brown colour, nice slightly burned malt character and a good hoppiness (which turns out to be a house characteristica). Very typical fruity/flowery notes. More akin to a Brown Ale I’d say. 5,5% ABV

Draught at the brewpub, Radio City
Dark amber color with red hue. Some caramel aroma. Medium body, a lot of dark caramel taste, maybe too much ending bitterness from the roasted malts.

On tap at the Union Square location on 9/15/07: Pours a transparent dark copper mahogany with a clingy-lacing light tan head. Aroma of sweet doughy caramel malt and some light fruity esters. Body starts fairly full with a touch of sticky caramel malt balance with slightly piny bittering hops and a hint of tart light fruits toward a faintly sweet finish.
