Clear reddish amber with an off white head and modest lace. Toasted malt and caramel aromas. Caramel sweetness is prominent, accompanied by nuttiness and a gentle offsetting hop bitterness. Medium mouthfeel and carbonation and a clean finish.

Draught at Heartland Brewery (Empire State Building) NYC sept 2012. Dark amber beer with a tanned head. A bit vinuos, toffee, nuts aroma. Nutty, toffee and some coffee notes flavour.

[keg, Heartland Brewpub, New York City] Pours a clear amberish red, with a decent white head. Aroma is predominantly caramel, but with plenty of nuts, brown sugar, bready yeast. Flavours are similar, ends quite sweet for my personal taste, but is decent enough [24112012]

Clear pretty mahogany color with a small off white head.
Aroma of caramel, nuts, wine like fruitiness and amaretto.
Dark fruit flavor (raisins), round nutty malt flavor, some spicy hops and medium bitterness.
Medium bodied, balanced and quite nice.
