Dégustée à la succursale de Union Square. Couleur brun caramel. Mousse brunâtre persistente. Goût caramélisé en finale. Moelleuse en bouche, ronde. Un peu d’amertume en finale. Manque d’effervescence par contre. Légère odeur de caramel et de beurre.

Nov 29, 2008 (10/22/08) Draught sample at the brewpub at Empire State Building, New York. reddish amber color. Aroma of slightly toasted malt, nuts and light fruity hints. Sweetish flavor with some malty notes, caramel and diacetyl. Medium-bodied.

Oct 26, 2008 A dark reddish mahoganny ale with a thin white head. This must be a Irish red since the butterscotch predominates in aroma, fruity, not unpleasant. In mouth, a good nutty beer, with light torrefied malt, but again, very short and sweetish. Nice effort. Tasted at the Union Square location, Nov. 2006.

Sep 6, 2008 On tap at Heartland Times Square; my favorite home brew from Heartland. A nice balanced aroma and flavor. Hints of toffee and nut, nice bitterness to it, sweet finish.

Sep 1, 2008 Draught at Empire St. Building location. Pours a clear red colour with an off-white head and decent lacing. Aroma is mostly sweet malt. Likewise with the flavour. Palate is smooth.
