tgncc (340), Bellmore, New York, USA Jun 13, 2008 Nice looking red color, thin white head. the taste has a slight malty character, but almost no sweetness. The most dominant flavor is of nuts. The palate has the nutty quality as well, with some slight hops coming in at the end. Middel of the road beer.
DSG (997), Yuvalim, Israel Nov 29, 2008 (10/22/08) Draught sample at the brewpub at Empire State Building, New York. reddish amber color. Aroma of slightly toasted malt, nuts and light fruity hints. Sweetish flavor with some malty notes, caramel and diacetyl. Medium-bodied. Lubiere (3410), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Oct 26, 2008 A dark reddish mahoganny ale with a thin white head. This must be a Irish red since the butterscotch predominates in aroma, fruity, not unpleasant. In mouth, a good nutty beer, with light torrefied malt, but again, very short and sweetish. Nice effort. Tasted at the Union Square location, Nov. 2006. KnutAlbert (2484), Oslo, Norway Oct 14, 2008 On tap at Empire State Building, my favourite of the range.
Sweet malt, caoff, fruit, well balanced with hoppy bitterness. bsm80 (105), Massapequa, New York, USA Sep 6, 2008 On tap at Heartland Times Square; my favorite home brew from Heartland. A nice balanced aroma and flavor. Hints of toffee and nut, nice bitterness to it, sweet finish. Spab (68), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 1, 2008 Draught at Empire St. Building location. Pours a clear red colour with an off-white head and decent lacing. Aroma is mostly sweet malt. Likewise with the flavour. Palate is smooth.
