COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fresh Midwestern pale malts and British roasted baa-rley impart a mellow malt sweetness, light toasted caramel background, and a smooth, balanced finish to this classic ale.

Drought. Dark amber color with small off white foamy head, average carbonation, whisky aroman long finish with a bit of alcohol flavor at the end. Very enjoyable experience.

From tap at Union Square location. Pours clear and golden brown with a thick and off white head. Aroma is roasted malty and light breadish. Caramelish, medium dry, vague breadish. Toasted toffee malty. Mild sweetness into a light bitter and mainly toasted malty finish.

Draft. Pours amber with a beige head. Toasted malts, medium sweetness, light nutty notes, hints of earthy hops, and lighter fruity. Nice little malty chugger right here, no off notes, very drinkable.

Lighter scotch ale. Tastes like a burnt sea salt caramel. Light body and heavy carbonation make it an easy quaff.

Found some old notes on this. The aroma is mlty, caramel, brown sugar sweetness, toasted malts. The appearance is a ruddy brown, off-white head. The flavor s almost exactly like the aroma. High cabonation. Medium in body. Finish is slightly astringent, pine needles. Not bad.

On draft at Empire State Location. Clear brown coloured. Malty, sugary, some liqourice. Cloying finish. Not really my kind of brown ale.

On tap at Times Square location. Dry, grainy taste. Hay, muddy molasses, earth. Aroma slightly earthy but almost unnoticable. Decently drinkable, but a bit minerally. Not too bad; certainly nothing off putting about it or any off flavors.

Tap at the Empire State Location. Pale amber beer with a thin white head. Malty and light toasty aroma. Caramel, toffee, soft earthiness. Lingering earthy, woody bitterness. Lightly sweet and a little bit dusty. It’s pretty basic, but not bad.
