BEcause of the plethora of pumpkin beers Iíve had this fall, Iím going to stick my nose up at this one. Everything about this beer passed the pumpkin ale test, but it failed to amaze me. My wife digs the pumpkin beer so we both has this a few times on our visits to New York. Cloudy reddish amber colour. Meidum whitehead. Some initial clove, pumpkin and allspice on the nose . Taste was soft with the spices, not as much as i expected and was hoping for. Decent fruit and breadiness on the palate. But overall, just another passable pumpking brew.

Just like eating a slice of pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving, outstanding pumpkin flavors & not too overpowering either, decent lacy head, dark golden in color, great seasonal brew

Brewtopia 11/12/05 Deep golden in color with a small white head. Aroma is all spice-cinamon,ginger, with no real pumpkin charcater in either the aroma or flavor. Another example of a spiced beer, whereís the pumpkin?

UPDATED: SEP 27, 2009 Seen ads for this sucker all over the city on phone booths and such. The guy with 2 teeth freaks me out. Tried on tap at empire state location. Pour is a copper amberish with some collective white head atop. Decent amounts of nutmeg and cinnamon spice. Wasnít lacking in flavor as I expected. Body could have been a bit meatier but over decent.

I like pumpkins and this one didnít do it for me. Orange in color not much body. Aroma of some spice but not powerful at all. Taste is pretty bland especially for a pumpkin. Very light malt needs more flavor and body for me. Some clove and cinnimon but fades fast.

Draft. Not my favorite style, but this is quite good. Lots of cinnamon, nutmeg, carmel and honey. Taste is the same. Very malty and easy drinking

UPDATED: NOV 3, 2006 Draught: This one pours a crystal clear, slightly orangish, dark golden color. There was a bit of an off-white head on it, but it left quite a bit of lacing. The aroma was basically pumpkin pie spices (ginger, clove, cinnamon), with not much malt coming through at all. Yet, they werenít overpowering as some others in this style tend to be. The taste was fairly similar. The spices werenít overdone, but the beer behind them was a little light. More malts were needed to provide a better balance. Still, it wasnít bad at all. A good pumpkin beer.

this was some good shit, my sister actually liked this and she does not like beer at all. very nice spicy aroma of all the things that make a pumpkin pie great. the body was full and malty, with lots of spices in it and a slight sweetness. excellent fall beer.
