(Tap) Pours a light amber color with little head. Aroma of apricot, but not particularly strong. Taste is also slightly fruity, with a good amount of malts to balance it. Light and slightly undercarbonated. It was all right.

Tap. Hazey pour, very fruity, light carbonation, thin head. Not as girly as most Apricot offerings. I enjoyed.

Hazed orange, thin white head. Nose was full blown fresh apricot. Simple as that. Flavor was fruity with notes of black pepper. A light hop bitterness rounds it out to some extent. Light bodied, light carbonation, fruity finish. Drinbable on a hot summer day...

(07.01.06) On tap at the Heartland Brwery, 51st in NYC. Poured clear light amber with small white head. Apricot ester aroma. Soft carbonation. Light-to-medium bodied ale that starts with light malt sweetness and hoppy apricot flavors. Some bitterness. Apricot flavor has a slight synthetic side. Finished dry with light malt fade. A good decent fruit beer.

On draft at brewpub. Lightly hazed orange-amber color in the glass, with a thin white head. Cloying sweet apricot and grainy malt aroma, with hints of citrus noticible as well. Apricot jam in the flavor with some grassiness and floral hops - I experience this as a "chick beer" bordering on an alcohpop. Medium body and creamy carbonation on the palate.

Thanks to my wife and daughter for bringing me a growler back from their recent trip to NYC. I was looking forward to this one but was a bit dissapointed. Instead of being a refreshing summertime beer, it was mostly flat with no head. Perhaps it didn’t survive the 2 hour trip in the heat too well. I’d like to try it againg at the brewpub to compare...

Tap at the Union Square location. hazy deep golden beer. Aroma of sweet apricots but there is also a lovely sweet bready aroma in back. Flavour of apricots, bread and caramel. Light earthy bitterness. Fresh and fruity but unlike many apricot beers, it’s definitely beer. Earthy bitterness, good balance and not overly sweet. Nice hot weather brew.

The DM & Hotstuff vacation July 2005 tour at the Heartland Brewery in Union Square with Author Ken Wells. This draft brew from the brewery poured a head of foamy medium sized mostly lasting white colored bubbles that left behind an unnoted lacing. The body contained no visible carbonation, was hazy and orange red in color. Its aroma was unnoted. Its mouth feel is initially smooth with a tingly aftertaste. Its flavor contained mild malt apricot notes that was not overly done and well balanced.

Draft at Heartland Brewery at Union Square with Author Ken Wells. Poured a small ivory head that mostly diminished, fine-small sized bubbles, lacing was sparse, cloudy, and an apricot hue. Aroma was that of apricots and sweet. Sweet, apricot flavor. Smooth and dry mouthfeel. Light body.
