11.2 oz. bottle- Pours a hazy orange with a thin head and lively carbonation bubbles, there is some nice fruity aromas and a little bit of pine, but mostly fruity. The flavor is very drinkable, it has a fruity flavor and seems to have kind of a floral taste as well. Little to no bitterness, good carbonation, a session beer through and through. On the palate the body is medium and carbonation is spot on, it kind of has an overly sweet and oily texture. Overall I have always liked this beer and finally got to review it.

Nose is broad maltiness with sweet berry. Taste moves right along the same spectrum. It’s a bit light on the palate, which kind of takes away from the beer. Definitely very real, nothing comes off as artificial. A little different, which is refreshing.

11.2 oz bottle into dimpled mug. Bought the Historic Ales from Scotland gift pack from a convenience store in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho (Fairway for those who know the area). Pours a hazy orange with a medium head that falls, leaving a collar and skiff of foam. Berry aromas mingle with a bit of pine/spruce in the nose. Smells sweet. Tastes sweet with a little bit of sour and bitter in the finish. Tastes like cotton candy. The pine and spruce are there but not in your face. I wish it was more prominent. Very tasty. Carbonation is high, body is medium. My favorite from this variety pack (yet it gets a slightly lower score than Ebulum because of the appearance, aroma, and palate...whatever).

New Beer Distributors, NY 11.2oz ($2.25): Pours a very nice off-white and creamy head over a peachy red body. Aroma is somewhat reminiscent of other Heather Ales. Some bubblegum notes and a piny note or two. The taste is pretty much the same as the aroma. Body is rather light. Doesn’t really taste like any other beer I’ve had. Not particularly complex.

330ml bottle! The bottle hits my taste actually quite good. Beautiful Viking style. The beer in glass is amber-colored with a good, very fine and high crown that holds a long time. The smell is revealed spicy sour, and indeed, pine and spruce sprigs come through. The beer starts sweet-tart, subtle caramel and fruity. Especially in the aftertaste comes from a very sweet flavor, which extends a long time. The further course also tastes very natural and woodland, especially in the finish is again a good resinous thrust, accompanied by a beautiful forest smell. Very strange, but quite successful beer!

Pours a cloudy orange - amber with a thick long lasting off white head. Aroma is very fruity with some apricot notes. Seems to be a little off balance - it is cloyingly sweet. Pine and spruce is faint, shows up on the finish. I was expecting something much drier, and the full body and heavy mouth feel push the sweetness to the front even more. Glad I got to try it, but one is enough.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 SlovakSniper (1154) - Candiac, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 19, 2010
