1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20 beerface1 (10) - Windsor, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 1, 2010
Odd. Tastes like the bizarre product of a mating between an ale and a bottle of Pine-Sol. Piney scent and oily mouth-feel, which adds to the impression that someone poured me a glass of furniture cleaning product and topped it off with beer. Drinking it was sort of interesting but not an experience I’d particularly care to repeat.

Bottle to chilled pint glass. Small head with good lacing. Cloudy light amber color. Caramel malt flavor and light hop flavor. You can obvioulsy taste the pine, but its a nice balance.
Medium body with a slick finish & average carbonation. Pretty good.

a great spring/autumn camping/outdoors (pine forest) session beer with a lot of interesting character, an occasional beer that would loose it’s unique charm if drank too often.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 mmacleod75 (62) - Ontario, CANADA - DEC 10, 2009
Poured from bottle. Poured orange copper color with average head. Fruity aroma, some banana, slightly floral. Very unique taste. I definitely noticed the pine notes, but it still retained the fruity flavor as well. Different, but very good.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 MoritzF (7137) - Bochum, GERMANY - NOV 30, 2009
(bottle) Hazy, orange to copper colour with a medium-sized tanned foamy head. Moderately sweet and (initially) slightly acidic fruit-accented aroma of berries and pears, accompanied by a distinctive flowery and almost ethereally and resiny piney touch. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium to full bodied with a soft, almost creamy carbonation. Solid (cara-)malty base with light fruity notes and a blink of alcohol; dry-out effect towards the resiny spicy and malty finish with a tinge of alcohol coming out of the mask. Enjoyable and warming brew. 30.XI.09
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 FunkyBrewster (1316) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 27, 2009
Pours a cloudy cider like color with a small almost no white head. Aroma is quite strange. Besides the apparent oxidation, there are a lot of typical UK fruits, oh and some banana. An interesting caramel candy-like sweetness over just a hint of pine and peat earthiness. Flavor starts with a sweet fruit maltiness, super mellow and easy to just sit in the mouth. Gains some honey and sugary characters that are a bit cloying but seem fitting as a traditional beer. Finishes soft and without a whole lot of presence, some floral notes. Light to medium body and a super soft carbonation. So interesting and different you gotta respect that.
