Roasty aroma that features some malts, chocolate, coffee and dark berries. Sweet, malty body that’s a little roasty. Some dark berries are present throughout. Decent body. A little grainy and oaty. Almost stout-ish. A pleasant surprise. Schroppfy (1813), Ohio, USA

It does look a lot like Coca Cola. Very nice earthen and leathery nose, slightly hoppy (pine needles, moss) - buttery elements in the aroma as well. Complex, yes, from the 4-pack - a hint of fruitiness that purports to be elderberry, but I don't know. Good roastiness, well-balanced. ratman197 (3275), Arvada, Colorado, USA

The flavour has a lot of licorice, but I find it difficult to find the elder berries. Anyhow, it’s a very nice beer. The bitterness is low, if there at all. swirl (267), collingswood, New Jersey, USA

This was the final beer I tried and actually turned out to be my favorite. STEPHENDR (478), California, USA

Chocolate and toast with a fruity tartness in the finish, a little like sour cherries. Very smooth, medium bodied. No distinct elderberry character, but then I don’t think that is the goal anyway. If I didn’t know any better I would call this an excellent porter. Shared with Tyler Durden. daknole (3032), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA
