The beer poured a dark amber color with a thin white head. The body was light and smooth with mild carbonation, and did have the advertised dry finish. The heather flowers dominated the armoa and I was surprised by how they also appeared in the flavor, which was sweet and just a tiny bit sour. A great beer from the bottle, one that I hope to try again. french tickler (642), Aylmer, Quebec, Canada

Very strange aroma, sort of sour/vinegary - guessing that’s the heather component. Not much that I could make out in the way of malt or hops. The aroma is very distinct, not necessarily appealing. The same goes for the flavour - more of the heather but with a bit of malt to at least offer something else. Fairly dry finish, with some floral earthiness. I’m glad I tried this, if only for curiosity’s sake, but it’s not something I would get again. GreatLibations (1470), Last Supper, Arizona, USA

Aromas of malted flowers and perfume. Light to medium nectar w/ ample residual effers. Flavors are malty w/ complex spices. Citrus, plumbs, unsweetened strawberry, kiwi, pine needles, and florals w/ defined earth. Finish is long w/ malted perfume and has a balanced bittering. An interesting brew indeed. Light and slightly sour, with a promish of refreshment mixed with a lingering sharpness in the back of the throat. theshocker (329), Marietta, Georgia, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 11, 2006 Burnt orange, small off white head. Sour citrus aroma. The flavor is sour instead of bitter, herbal and flowery. Refreshing, easy to drink. Kinda tastes like 7-up. By the end I was sick of it. nimbleprop (951), SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 10, 2006 Poured a clear, grapefruit like color with a thin, whispy white head. Interesting and unique floral aroma a little like incense. Initial flavor is malty, sweet but also a tad soapy. Finish was watery and sweet with floral notes and honey. Pleasant and refreshing for the most part.
