The Brotherhood have been guardians of the ancient Gaelic recipe for "leann fraoich" (heather ale) since 1988 and are proud to be the only brewery still producing this unique style of beer and distributing it world wide. A light amber ale with floral peaty aroma, full malt character, and a spicy herbal finish - This beer allows you to literally pour 4000 years of Scottish history into a glass.
Into the boiling bree of malted barley, sweet gale and flowering heather are added, then after cooling slightly the hot ale is poured into a vat of fresh heather flowers where it infuses for an hour before being fermented.

A vége száraz erőtlen. Sokkal többet vártam. :((

Bottle from Tesco, Brighouse. Amber coloured with a thin head. Fruit hopped, although arguably understated. Light and easy drinking in the main, it has a very small fizz in the palate.

Pours burnt copper with almost no head at all. A lot of honey in the aroma. A bit of honey in the taste, some heather, a good bit of malt. It’s a mediocre beer but drinkable.

500 ml bottle pours very clear gold. Nose is subtle, sweet flowers and honey. Great flavours on taste. Interesting note that I am guessing is the bog myrtle. Not much off the hops.

traditional ales - also a part of various malt (barley, wheat). Aroma hops compared withother ales from Williams Brothers - rather weak. Very delicate beer. Long wondered what kind of grass is in the taste - Eucalyptus? tarragon? later I read online that this is Heather.

Hazy golden colour with small off-white head that last a couple of seconds with a thin lacing. Aroma is floral and malty, hints of spicy. Taste is also floral and a bit hoppy and sweet, hints of burned sugar. Low carbonation and medium body with a sweet finish.
