2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Hazy golden-orange with a thick off-white no lace head. Smells herbal with some chocolate malts. Medium oily body. Sort of all over the place. Tastes sweet caramel malty at first with honey and a floral undertones, herbal woody elements and a harsh hop finish. Feel a little bit like rot and ginger with peat. I didnít enjoy it.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
500 ml bottle. Golden color with thin white head. Aroma is herby and spicy, likely from the heather. Pale malt, flowers and hay. Taste is sweet, malt, peppers, spice, herbs and honey. Decent, but the heather notes are a bit too dominant for my palate

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a mostly clear dark gold with minimal head. Aroma is quite sweet. Honey and something slightly herbal. Taste is medium sweet. Honey and clove. Medium bodied with a somewhat thin texture. Lively carbonation and a decently long finish. Not bad overall. I would drink it again.

Bottle bb 03/2015. Pours an orange/pale amber colour with a thin white head. Lightly floral aroma. Light body, medium carbonation. A pit pissy to taste with some toffee and honey. Mild bitterness. OK.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours olive oil yellow with a thin white cap that quickly fades. Never quite seen a beer like this in the glass. Taste is both familiar & foreign. And Iím guessing thatís the heathers. This is the second bottle from my four bottle Scottish sample pack (love the design of the labels) & while it hasnít turned my world upside down it has been a tasty & adventurous tour. Recommended.

Very malty aroma. Decent appearance. Smoky, dusky, malty flavor. Some peat. Slight hints of fruit. Bread. Dark esters. Quite good and surprising.

Bottle from Morrisonís. Golden beer with a small white head. Not particularly different to other golden beers. Just a slight herby note. Ultimately a little plain.
