COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered
Ingredients: Malts: British Pale Ale Malt, Cara Malt, Malted Wheat. Heather, Bogmyrtle.
The Brotherhood have been guardians of the ancient Gaelic recipe for "leann fraoich" (heather ale) since 1988 and are proud to be the only brewery still producing this unique style of beer and distributing it world wide. A light amber ale with floral peaty aroma, full malt character, and a spicy herbal finish - This beer allows you to literally pour 4000 years of Scottish history into a glass.
Into the boiling bree of malted barley, sweet gale and flowering heather are added, then after cooling slightly the hot ale is poured into a vat of fresh heather flowers where it infuses for an hour before being fermented.

Clear darker yellow with white small foam head. Aroma is malty and caramel. Taste is bit too much sweet, little bitterness. Banana. Short bittersweet aftertaste, not bitter enough for my taste. Banana again. (Barnsley 201210)

Light golden colour. Nose is quite mild, some aroma of grapes and white wine. Taste is quite sweet, light bodied and refreshing. Not bad, semi interesting alternative to lager.

PapaVillum (606) - Valby, DENMARK - APR 25, 2015

Extremely fruity aroma. Sweet and fruity. Slightly fizzy. Fair head. Tastes most like a lager and very individual. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330ml bottle. Vivid amber in colour with a small, tight white head and moderate carbonation. Aroma of honey, spring moorland flowers and an unusual bitter, woody herbal edge, almost thyme-like.

Old rating. Hay, grass, interesting herbal profile. Very light and drinkable, but a little too much earthiness to be sessionable.
