COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered
Ingredients: Malts: British Pale Ale Malt, Cara Malt, Malted Wheat. Heather, Bogmyrtle.
The Brotherhood have been guardians of the ancient Gaelic recipe for "leann fraoich" (heather ale) since 1988 and are proud to be the only brewery still producing this unique style of beer and distributing it world wide. A light amber ale with floral peaty aroma, full malt character, and a spicy herbal finish - This beer allows you to literally pour 4000 years of Scottish history into a glass.
Into the boiling bree of malted barley, sweet gale and flowering heather are added, then after cooling slightly the hot ale is poured into a vat of fresh heather flowers where it infuses for an hour before being fermented.

Birra all’erica. Niente luppolo. Corpo fine. Scende meravigliosamente bene.

Cloudy orange amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of sweet bread, honey, and flowers. Tastes bready and semi-sweet with a faint bitterness. Light-medium bodied. It’s hard to describe the subtle unique flavors in here as I have no idea what heather or bogmyrtle taste like, but it’s pretty decent.

Room temp bottle. I think it would have been nicer colder. Sparkling and golden with enduring white head. Flavour is one dimensional but good. It’s a bit like a herbal saison, medicinal notes too. Overall, a very drinkable and pleasant beer to be having in the sun right now.

pours cloudy orange marmalate with almost no head, a bit ringed retention and lacing, a bit of activity and a few floaties. Smells of malts and honey. Attack: 6/10-sweetness, thin mouthfeel, hints of apple Mid-palate: honeyed malts, grassiness Finish: cuts very dry, mild coriander, crisp finish. Hmm I don’t get that much out of this beer. It’s rather plain and underwhelming on my palate - thus I give it an average rating.

Flaska. Gräsiga och örtiga toner i doften, svagt av honung. Samma återkommer i smaken. Tämligen trist öl, som väldigt mycket påminner om en lager.

bottled. this ale is not bad, but too sweet for my taste. I rather prefer the hoppy bitter ales. this one reminds too much of an industrial German type lager, that is sweet. on the other hand, it has a nice herbal aroma and the after taste reminds me a bit of Belgian ales. overall I didn’t like this beer. the sweetness destroyed the joy. too bad.

Bottle. Pours a dark yellow-gold color. Thin off-white head that dissipates quickly but leaves some residual lacing. Aroma is floral, grassy with hints of grain. Flavor is a mix of floral with sweet malt and clover honey. Light bodied and very dry finish that borders on astringent. Light, easy-drinking and sessionable, but not something I would probably seek out.

Im not sure why this beer has been rated low because I loved it. This has an herbal floral flavor with a spicy peat aroma. Mellow caramel undertones with a smooth palate.
