2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Maybe this is one of those acquired tastes, a flavor profile that one grows up with and learns to appreciate, but I wasn’t exactly wowed by this. I paid an incredible sum for a four-pack, hoping for something good, but was underwhelmed. I’ll try to give the rest of them away.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear golden pour. Fairly persistent lacy head.
Floral nose. No hop aroma. Faint bready malt aroma.
Fairly sweet flavor. I’m unsure what heather glowers taste like, but a slight herbal finish might be from that source.
Interesting ale, although nothing really stands out about it.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
This is a nice beer. Interesting heather taste. Very pale colour, with slight head. Nice to try a beer without the hops. Not that I don’t like hops. Just a nice change.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured from 330mL bottle. Cloudy pale yellow with very minimal white head. Herbal, cereal aroma. Flavour starts with cereal followed by tea flavours of mint and chamomile with a touch of sweetness at the end. Fairly light body. Taste is quite interesting.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
500 mL bottle at a tasting on January 13. The pour is a pale gold with a small white head, and a decent lace that develops. The smell is a little strange, with a spiciness that seems to drown out a lot of the slight undertones. There is a sweetness that finishes off the scent with a little bit of a flowery pick up. The flavor is mimicking of the aroma, with a nice sweetness, and a surprising dryness on the back end. The mouth feel is thin, with a good body, and a mildly lingering aftertaste.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Haven’t had this for quite a few years, the heather flavour is not as pronounced as I remember. Aroma rather metallic , flavour rather dull.
