Commercial Description:
Bottle: Filtered
Brewed in Scotland since 2000 B.C. heather ale is probably the oldest style of ale still produced in the world. From an ancient Gaelic recipe for "leann fraoich" (heather ale) it has been revived and reintroduced to the Scottish culture.
Into the boiling bree of malted barley, sweet gale and flowering heather are added, then after cooling slightly the hot ale is poured into a vat of fresh heather flowers where it infuses for an hour before being fermented.
A light amber ale with floral peaty aroma, full malt charachter, a spicy herbal flavour and dry wine like finish.
Recommended with rich and Spicy foods.
Drink slightly chilled from a fluted glass.

bottle. Poured a hazy yellow witha small white head. Sweet citrus floral aroma. Light, dry, spicy palate. Flavour is a little sour and peppery, I guess that’s what heather taste like. Finish is light and a bit dry.

This beer pours a orangey-amber color, slightly hazy crowned by a slim white head. Aroma is slightly sweet, but with a smoky undertone: noted earthiness, and...plums? Dry clean finish, texture is somewhat flat, but has a definite fizziness that leaves a slightly astringent feeling.

amber color, quite hazy. very light head - looks flat, but has light to medium carbonation. starts out medium, almost sweet/fruity but has a lingering dryness afterwards. definitely some interesting flavors.

Hazy amber-orange beer, with thin & short white head. Aroma is malty and fruity (orange, resemble american hops at first). Then i have perceived flowers and herbs, giving nice char to this ale. Medium sweetness, and low bitterness. Not so short persistence mouthfeel. Very interesting and drinkable.

500ml bottle. Pale amber body with slight hazy and a small persistant white head. Sweet malty aroma, toffee and some distinct earthy/peat smokiness, perfume sort of undertones. Medium bodied with a chewy malt texture. Moderate carbonation. Caramel malts upfront, quite an earthy spiciness about it, quite hard to describe, almost pot pourri like. Finishes quite dry, moderate bitterness with a lingering floral note. An interesting beer, flavour reminds me of a Scottish ale mix with dried flowers(?) or something. Worth a try.

aroma of flowers, corn, and grain, flavor is very warming and flowery. Almost chewy, kind of a cottony effect. Fluffy tasting overall. Very lagery, though. Bottle from Lucky Liquors, Miami.

Amber colored brew. Faint aroma. Fruity, skunky flavor. Some malts and spices. Watery.

Bottle. Pours a yellowy-gold with a thin white head. Aroma is a bit vegetable at first then opens up to malt and mild fruity notes. Tastes like it smells. Refreshing crisp , but one-dimensional. The Scots did right finally allowing putting hops into beer.
