damienv10 (101), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jul 9, 2007 Clear light copper with a thin white head. Smells like peaches, oranges and pine trees. It’s light with fine carbonation on the palate. It tastes mildly of what I guess are tart gooseberries and a little peach. The finish is slightly hoppy. The fruit is almost not there, which makes for something you can drink a lot of, but not really love.
Bullit (659), Glasgow, Scotland Nov 30, 2008 Fruity and hoppy in the nose.Yellow-golden coloured brew, with a small white head. Flavour has an hint of gooseberries, a weak taste of honey and bread, along with some crystal malts. Odd beer. mullet2007 (158), Newfoundland, Canada Nov 28, 2008 Pours a faintly hazy straw colour with next to no head. Smells like berries, not much else. Flavour has a little bit of wheat spiciness. There might be a bit of some berries in there, but it’s hard to say. There’s some hints of grassiness as it warms up. It’s a little thin and fairly dry and puckery. Carbonation is low, and not necessarily in a good way. terrybail (185), , Ontario, Canada Nov 21, 2008 330ml bottle from the LCBO as part of the Historic Ales Of Scotland Sampler Pack
The aroma is sweet honey and a touch spicy
Pours a hazy orangy amber
The taste is crips and clean with a touch of sweetness a liitle bit bitter on the after taste but i like it
shigadeyo (1500), Southwest Ohio Area, Alabama, USA Nov 19, 2008 7/28/2007: Grozet Gooseberry & Wheat Ale is murky and the color of pear juice from canned pears. It is tart with some flavors of wheat malt and something fruity. I’m guessing that the fruitiness is the gooseberries, but it’s difficult to say since I’ve never had gooseberries before. This beer is highly carbonated and quite light on the palate. My advice to anybody thinking about trying this beer is to pass it up and try something else!

Sample from 500 mL bottle shared at the "Columbus Tasting: Ate, now with gramatical errors" event. Thanks! Rating #462 for this beer...
boFNjackson (609), Portland, USA Nov 18, 2008 Bottle... Poured hazy, light orange with a thin, white head. Leafy, spicy, and herbal aroma. Really good brew that was light but also a lot of earthy, robust flavors. Full palate with a little alcohol in the taste. Berries were subtle and just present enough for you to be aware of them. Leafy malt in the finish.
