A - Dark brown/red with 1 finger of tan head.
S - Roasted malts, cocoa powder, prunes, raisins, hints of soy sauce, alcohol.
T - Follows the nose, roasted malt, mildly smoked soy sauce, slightly brackish. The finish reminds me of watered down coke in way.
M - Medium thin body, low carbonation.
Didnít get any seaweed notes. The malts are nice but are very mellow and a bit watered down.

Pretty malty flavor. Not sweet. Tiny, tiny, tiny hint of seaweed aroma/flavor....but might just be my imagination. Decent ale. Nothing great.

Poured from a 22. Appearance is much darker than I expected. Mouth feel is very light and easy. It does have a roasty flavor and even though it is thin, it has a nice balance to it. I liked this beer, it was not weird at all.

22 oz bottle. Appearance: color was darker than I expected. Aroma: roasty and slightly malty, with hints of caramel and chocolate. Taste/Palate: thin throughout; begins sweet and crisp, and finishes creamy and slightly salty and astringent. Kind of a strange beer, but not entirely undrinkable.

Cask at the Clachaig Inn, Scotland. Pours dark red brown with small off white head. Chocolate malty aroma. Light chocolate flavor, roasted, spicy, sour. Drinkable.

Bottle. Porterish aroma of chocolate, roast and some coffee. Some mineral notes in here and also an element that I am not able to name. Maybe itís the seaweed but since I donít know the smell of seaweed that happens not to rot after being spilled on the beachside, Iím not sure. Light tart taste with some dark malts but overall itís watery and lacking any punch. For a malt-forward beer like this a bit more body would be welcome. Ah yes, the seaweed. Well, there seems to be a salty note in here, thatís all. Iím afraid itís more a first world gadget than a beer that is supposed to taste great.

Malty aroma, but some bitterness on the taste, thought there might be a salt kick from the seaweed, but couldnít taste it .

500 ml bottle as Kelpie Seaweed ale. Pours a brownish-reddish with a short lived white head. Aroma is smokey, meaty, salty. Flavor is similar, with some chocolate and peat notes. Light to medium body, soft mouthfeel.

The seaweed ale, referring to an old Scottish tradition in which blatterwort was used as a fertilization agent for grains. Blackish beer with sticky, moussy head and malty aroma, in which indeed a faint suggestion of fresh seaweed seems to be recognisable, as well as in the taste, which is otherwise dominated by dark and roasted malts. Pretty interesting, porter-like ale, though Iíd prefer some of their other historical creations.
