Poured a crystal clear light golden amber with a thin foamy 1/2 inch off-white head. The head becomes just a film rather quickly. There were some carbonation bubbles rising up in the glass. The aroma was bready with a little bit of citrus. The taste was crisp and slightly bitter up front followed by a slightly dry fell. There wasa fairly strong bitterness towards the finish, but not like a nice hops flavorful bite, but just bitter. There wasn’t much flavor to detect like malt sweetness, caramel malt, floral hops. Not much here with this one.

12 ounce Bottle with an April date. Probably not the freshest product, unfortunately. Poured a crystal clear gold color. No head (even with an aggressive pour) and low carbonation. Pretty nice nose considering the carbonation, including bready malt and floral/herbal hops. Taste also of bread, with some sweetness (not caramel). Some spicy hop notes - seems like noble hops, but nothing to distinct. Nice bitter finish. The mouthfeel was quite full - too much for a golden ale, which could be due to the low carb. Would like to try fresh.

12oz bottle in a shaker. Pours light golden with a thick, white head. Aroma of light floral hops and a bread like malt. Flavor not really different. An average pale ale, but nothing really worth trying.

Tap. Pours clear gold with an average, creamy white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, cookie, biscuit), light hops (herbal), and average esters (fruity). Flavor is heavy malt (bread, cookie, biscuit), light hops (herbal), and average esters (fruity). Medium-light body, low warmth and creaminess, medium carbonation with a slightly dry finish. This is a very refreshing and easy to drink beer.

12 oz, best by Nov 2010. Beautiful golden ale is mostly clear, shiny topaz with a lasting small ring of cream and drippy lace. Nose is spicy grass and light fruit. Flavor is spiced, slightly tart fresh apple, a hint of toast, and dry grass. Near-medium body is well-balanced, mildly tingly with carbonation. Later on the finish shows some resiny wood and light citrus. Fine example of the style.

Slightly sweet aroma, with hints of floral notes. Pours a clear light gold, with a thin white head. Crisp, slightly sweet flavor, with hints of apple, not much hop notes present. Clean on the palate, easy drinking, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Definite floral hops and typical hay flavor that comes with the gold ale. Nothing special, but not bad either.

(Rating #3272)
