COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Just released our newest seasonal – “Holy Sheet”. From the centuries-old tradition of Belgian Abbey monks comes our Uber Abbey Ale (9%). Aromatic and very full bodied, the beer will pour a deep burgundy in color and feature a rich, robust depth of malt character. Grab a line – Holy Sheet! – or you might be swept overboard.

Aroma of raisin, malt, kind of wine-like. Dark, transparent, with no head. Strong mouth feel with an understated hop bitterness. Caramel, apple, some chocolate hints are there. Very complex, interesting beer.

UPDATED: MAR 18, 2007 Deep crimsony amber, creamy tan head. As it warmed, rich notes of warm golden raisins and plum emerge. Soft undercurrents of rum and musty brown sugar are found throughout. Flavor is similar with a dark fruit / banana combo playing off the sweet Belgian candi sugar tones. Pulls a slight hop biterness in the end to round this off nicely. Full bodied, soft carbonation, warming, lightly bittersweet finish. This is a well done interpretation. Cheers Hugh....

12 oz bottle...brown with red orange highlights..no lasting foam except on the swirl...slightly fruity aroma backed by just enough malt to cover its tracks...all in all the aroma is just a mild whiff in the wind...pleasant but doesn’t blow me away...alcohol on first sip...then sweetness enveloped in malts...a stickiness to the mouth feel yet clean and balanced well...the muddled fruits show through on the finish...a bit of dry and salty features on the finish as well

Ruby red with a speckled white head. Floral and fruity malt aroma. Taste retains the fruit and picks up a bittersweet spicy edge. Finish is particularly strong, but I’m not sure it’s the alcohol. $2/12oz

Bottle at the Dilly Deli. Poured clear burgundy color with a moderate white fizzy head that lasted with fair lacing. Moderate dark fruit malty aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture. Medium dark fruit flavor with medium bittersweet and small alcohol tone finish of moderate duration. Drinkable complex brew.
