Style: American IPA
Hops: Warrior, Simcoe, Palisade, Centennial, Cascade, Citra
Malts: 2-Row, Caramalt, Munich

Our flagship beer, Loose Cannon wins people over at first smell. The carefully cultivated interplay of Simcoe, Palisade, and Centennial creates a most fragrant IPA—its nose bursts with notes of grapefruit, herbs, and pine. Bitterness is somewhat subdued by the floral quality that pervades the taste. The color is burnished gold, and the mouthfeel is creamy. A strong malt backbone balances out the triple-hopped beer. Its nickname, Hop3, comes from the brewing process: our brewers hop Loose Cannon in the boil, the hopback, and the fermenter. It won a second place CAMRA award at the 2010 Great British Beer Festival.

Bottled. Pours clear golden orange. Aroma is lots of hops and citrus. Grapefruit, lots of peach, orange, pineapple, mango, papaya. One of the best smelling IPAs. Flavor is tons of tropical citrus hops. Incredibly good. Bitter finish. Amazing IPA.

Citrus aroma; orange appearance with a lacy white head; moderate hop taste with citrus tones; fizzy on the palate with a smooth finish and a little bit of bitterness; overall, a good IPA, best characterized as smooth for better and worse ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This is delicious. The hops aren't overbearing and it isn't too thick. Goes down smooth with a crisp hop flavor. Not the fruitiest of IPAs, but there is a lot going on here. Deceptively strong. Certainly a go-to IPA for me.

Pours a hazy orange with a sudsy head. Strong fruity aromas in the nose. Lots of light fruit in the flavors with hints of grapefruit and peaches. Definitely a solid offering and one I would try again.

Clear orange gold with a one-finger head and moderate lace. Muted aroma of pine, citrus and peach. Citrus hop flavors up front, with gentle bitterness, supported by a strong toast/caramel malt base. Medium body and carbonation, sticky mouthfeel and a clean finish.

Had this from a bottle last night, very floral/fruity, very well balanced and smooth, some bitterness but not a lot. Never heard of this one before and was very pleasantly surprised. I would buy this one again, even non IPA drinkers should like this one.
