4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a pint glass. The label has very short description, freshness date and a 7.25% abv.
Appearance: It has beautiful light to medium amber hues with a tall and sticky off white head on top. The body also has a light haze and some nice visible carbonation flowing up to the head. As I drink the slow settling leaves lots of sticky lace patterns on the glass.
Smell: Right from the pop of the cap I get citrusy hop notes right up in my nose. Getting it into the glass it opens up with big citrusy grapefruit, sweet orange, peach and floral notes over light bready and pale biscuity maltiness.
Taste/Palate: Right up front there are nice sweet citrusy notes. Grapefruit and sweet orange marmalade notes flow across the tongue and over a mild bready malt base. This all thins out towards the finish and there is a very mild citrusy/floral hop bitterness in the end. The overall mouth feel is a light medium with a well balanced carbonation.
Notes: To start, this is one heck of a beautiful IPA. Its aroma is very pleasing as well as the juicy hops up front. It finishes a bit on the light side but overall I feel it’s still a very solid beer.

Love this beer! Have to say this is one of the better beers I’ve had. Had this on tap at North Hanover Grille.

Very refreshing with good subtle flavors, great session IPA that goes down quick.

For an IPA that lists itself Hop3, there is very little hop aroma on the nose. Must use very little (if any) dry hops. This beer blends the 7.25% abv well enough. For being the staple draft of Baltimore, I feel that it is highly overrated.

Tasted at Blacksburg Brew Do - very floral hop nose; tastes are hoppy but still balanced with some sweetness from the malt; very nice

12 oz can! Pours a Pale hazy yellow that looks more fiery orange when held to different light. Soft, pillowy head. Super fresh IPA with notes of citrus rind, grapefruit, faint lemon peel, and German malt. This is an unbelievably balanced, unassuming East Coast IPA. Probably one of the better Mid-Atlantic offerings available all year round. Clean, earthy and dank all at the same time. Slightly dry, but not in a bad way at all. Alcohol is well masked at 7+%. Hop heads delight but not a palate wrecker either. Loving the cans too! This beer is so good.

Apples, pears, and peaches on the aroma. Pours a typical ipa copper with a decent lingering head. Tastes of pears, toffee, brown sugar, and c hops. A pretty good middle upper ipa.
